The war with Benjamin
Bethlehem Judg 19:1–9
A Levite of mount Ephraim goes to Bethlehem-judah to bring back his concubine; her father keeps him feasting for five days.

With the day far spent they reach Jebus, which is Jerusalem; the Levite will not lodge in a city of strangers and goes on to Gibeah.

At Gibeah of Benjamin no one takes them in but an old man; the men of the city abuse the concubine through the night, and she dies at the door. The Levite cuts her body into twelve pieces and sends them through all the coasts of Israel.
